When congress approved Pub. L. 97-28, authorizing and requesting the President to proclaim 

the week commencing March 7, 1982 as "Women's History Week," the concept for Women's

 History Month was born.

Who started women's history?

National Women's History Week was established by President Jimmy Carter on March 8,

 1980. In his proclamation, he stated that "the achievements, leadership, courage, strength, 

and love of the women who founded America were as vital as that of the men whose names we

 know so well."

Who discovered women's month?

Women's History Month started as a nearby festival in St Nick Rosa, California. The 

Training Team of the Sonora District (California) Commission on the Situation with Ladies

 arranged and executed a "Ladies' Set of experiences Week" festivity in 1978.
